JUNIOR HIGH

Junior High (Grades 6-8) is a critical time for young students to develop and grow physically, spiritually, socially, and academically.  With that in mind CYE Christ Academy provides a curriculum that focuses on the fundamentals of reading, writing, math, social studies, science,  and bible knowledge, and computation.   Students are taught these core subjects while being integrated with a biblical foundation that allows them the opportunities to positively impact their academic life and relationships.

HIGH SCHOOL

The High School  curriculum prepares students for the future and also to develop their Christian walk during their high school years.  The rigorous curriculum allows students to participate in the highest levels of academics, preparing them for college and the workforce.  CYE Christ Academy offers individualized  academically counseling that begins in grade nine and continues throughout the students’ senior year.  Students are given the opportunity to challenge themselves with numerous Advanced (AP) classes.  In association with Wharton Junior Community College and Brazosports Community College, students are allowed to take college level courses, which allow them to earn both high school and college credits.  Students taking  dual credits are building their high school transcript  simultaneously with their institution of higher education transcript.  Students usually take two courses in the fall and two courses in the spring.

Any high school student who meets the requirement is allowed to take AP or  dual credit classes.  Dual credits are NOT a part of the tuition fee and have to be paid directly to the college. (There is scholarship available for dual credit courses if the student meets the requirement).  CYE Christ Academy has a  partnership with WCJC Dual Credit Program  and offers TSI testing prior to college admission.  (See the Dual Credit Program - attached).

AP and Dual Credit courses have additional fees which are not included in tuition

TECHNOLOGY AND LEARNING

All  students receive  a Chromebook as part of their learning curriculum. The Chromebooks are utilized every day throughout the school year. Students  have access to a classroom set of Chromebooks for research, projects and supplemental learning activities.  The Chromebooks are property of CYE Christ  Academy and should remain in the classroom at all times.

If a student is in need of a chromebook at home, CYE Christ Academy can issue one provided that a Chromebook Insurance Fee is paid.  This insurance provides an accident/damage policy for each Chromebook issued.  Replacement chargers are NOT covered by insurance.  Replacement chargers can be purchased for $20.  Stolen/lost chromebook fee is $150.

ACADEMIC AND COLLEGE PLANNING

CYE Christ Academy is committed  to providing every student  with the knowledge and tools they need to be successful in their high school academic life and beyond.  Each student is unique, with diverse career interests, therefore; we acknowledge that “one cap doesn’t fit all.”  With that recognition, CYE Christ Academy realizes the importance of equipping every student with the necessary tools each student needs to navigate the college admissions process or work readiness requirements from start to finish.  Students

are offered college/work readiness courses during their high school career.  CYE Christian Academy encourages students to apply for summer internships during their junior year and also to pursue college visits.  We also offer SAT and ACT study prep for an affordable fee,  assistance with interviews, applications, and scholarships.  We are  a TEA approved testing campus for ALL STAAR and EOC exams.
